Movis De Mario Salieri

Making the absent

In his novel deepest , The Child of the High Seas Jules Supervielle tells the story of a girl who lives alone in the middle of the week. This figure of a child who wakes up in the morning and opens the shutters on the sea is nothing but memories left here one day by a passing sailor. And the poet concludes with a board-non-moral: be careful what is left in place. The five letters each Where sun is just a sun Interior, Jean-Marie Barnaud, resonate with the text.

Sailor wrote five letters to his wife, Mary, during his trip. Five letters to embody the beloved in the landscape. Five letters is not much, just a passage in the absence experienced by the seaman Five letters that evoke the desire to return, love, but also the condition of one who is on his schooner than any other on a wire. The real risks, the pitfalls of navigation, are all metaphors for a journey within the lover. About the conditions faced by the captain, the discourse changes. Mary and the first woman desired, dreamed, that we find hope. So the future that also motivates the trail: "Hopefully, we believe, / we believe it already ..."," the only center who loves me is in you ...". In April, after three months of sailing, the captain seems to accept the inconstancy, the detour, the expectation and loss: "Therefore, Marie, s / he should not be afraid / to get lost each other, / as if time and distance, / and their wounds / had forever / blur our faces ...". So the etiquette of men at sea ..

Captain as Odysseus never seems to reach Ithaca, Telemachus does not reach as he follows his father's footsteps, said things very simple: there is a precarious place, there was wind, it is the passing of time and the weather and it is necessary to man. It is within this constraint of reality and with these uncertainties should call every man.

Thus the letters in this collection are actually a story. The captain wrote them in 1863 and 1864. Temporal distance that separates us from the moment of crossing the narrative make it sensitive. Five letters, poems enough to tell a story that space would be between Japan and the Mediterranean, are enough to draw the contours of an inner adventure. The ellipses and temporal few letters leave the reader to reconstruct the course of history. Poetry is not a flash here, but tells how one does exist on the remote to the absent, and absent in the distance.
